Tesla stacks free Supercharging and APR financing deals to improve Cybertruck sales

Tesla has started offering free Supercharging for life with any Cybertruck Foundation Series purchase in Canada or Mexico, where Trump's unilateral import tariffs are inviting a reciprocal response.

That is the same promo that it has been offering for inventory Cybertrucks in the US as well, but here it is now stacking it with a new financing rate deal.

Those who purchase a new Cybertruck from Tesla will have the opportunity to pay it off with a 1.99% APR financing rate now. While not the 0% APR financing on the Model 3 that Tesla introduced yesterday, the Cybertruck offer is valid for 36-month and 48-month financing terms as well, not just for the 60-month option as with the Model 3 deal.

Tesla says that qualified Cybertruck buyers have to put a down payment of minimum 4% of the purchase price plus taxes and fees, and the $7,500 federal tax credit subsidy can be directly used as said down payment.

This new APR financing offer brings the monthly payment on a Tesla Cybertruck down to $1,219, and the deal is now stackable with the free lifetime Supercharging that it offered before.

That one, however, comes with plenty of caveats that Tesla didn't have before during its early free Model S or Model X Supercharging promos:

Customers who purchase a new Cybertruck Foundation Series are eligible for free Supercharging during your ownership of the vehicle. Order must be placed on or after March 5, 2025. Offer is tied to your Tesla Account and cannot be transferred to another vehicle, person or order, even in the case of ownership transfer. Used vehicles, business orders and vehicles used for commercial purposes (like taxi, rideshare and delivery services) are excluded from this promotion. You are still responsible for Supercharger fees, like idle and congestion fees, when applicable. Order is not eligible for Powershare voucher. Tesla reserves the right in its sole discretion to remove the free Supercharging from your vehicle in the event of excessive charging or unpaid fees related to Supercharging. Free Supercharging only redeemable directly at Tesla-owned Superchargers. Promotion subject to change or end at any time.

Thus, the free Cybertruck charging for life can't be transferred to a new owner or a new vehicle purchased by the same owner, while any extra Supercharger payments, like congestion or idle fees, are their responsibility and not covered by the free Supercharging promo.
