It’s hard to recommend a device with performance as inconsistent and underwhelming as the TCL 30+. Yes, it has a nice display and a camera that can capture some decent photographs, but the annoyances will easily outweigh those highlights.

The AMOLED display, elegant design, camera, and battery are some of the main attractions of this phone. If you are satisfied with all these features, then this phone won’t disappoint you and the price is also justified considering the specs you are getting. But if you need 5G connectivity, high-performance or better cameras, especially an ultra-wide camera, then this phone is not made for you. In that case, you should look at alternatives such as the Realme 9 5G India or the Motorola Moto G62, and they will provide a better chipset and better camera performance in a decent price range.

This phone is well priced at $399 as a mid-range smartphone for basic daily taskers. It is worth the cost of the gorgeous screen and the reliable battery. A bonus that has not been mentioned earlier is the adoption of the NFC function which almost is a ‘must-have’ for people who heavily rely on the contactless payment method. At least, for consumers here in Australia, I dare to say that we have gotten accustomed to contactless payment in most payment scenarios. I have had some hiccups during the first few days due to the unfamiliarity with TCL UI, but that was just fading away when I got used to it and probably will not be a problem for others at all.

6.70":
It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.69.6%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
