Suunto has unveiled the Ocean wearable, a new dive computer and sports watch. The all-in-one wearable has a 1.43-inch (~36 mm) AMOLED display protected by sapphire glass with a stainless steel casing. The watch is said to be made with 100% renewable energy at the company’s factory in Finland.
The Ocean offers single and multigas dive modes, supports wireless tank pressure when using the Tank POD, and provides a wide range of alarms that can be used for scuba and freediving. Suunto says it has introduced a “new standard in the industry” with its underwater route tracking feature, logging your route, entry and exit points in the logbook. Initially, a beta version of the tool will be offered. Other features of the watch include over 95 sports modes, the ability to create custom modes, GPS tracking, outdoor offline maps and a weather forecast. On top of that, you can use the wearable to measure your heart rate, step count, sleep, calories and stress levels.
Customers can choose between three colors: All Black, Steel Black or Sand. The Suunto Ocean dive computer and sports watch will launch this summer for $899/€799/£725. If you want to be notified when the smartwatch goes on sale in your region, you can sign up for an email alert on the company’s website.
