Steam has expanded its free game library once again, and just like in mid-October 2025, a handful of newly added freebies have been spotted. Of course, not all of these free games appear to be worth trying, as many of them don't have an official player rating yet. As for the ones that have already been well-received, they are:
- Game for Aliens - released on October 16, it's an indie action game that lets players use 20 different weapons to fight aliens. It currently features a "Positive" rating with 11 reviews.
- RIBBITS - an online co-op platformer that has an interesting voice-input system. It launched on Steam on October 7, and the free game currently sports the "Positive" rating with 15 reviews.
- (BURIED TAPES) The Parking - a psychological horror game that was released on October 11. The freebie currently sports a "Mostly Positive" rating with 41 reviews.
- Fragments of Dread - False Haven - an entry from an episodic psychological horror series that features immersive visuals. This free game launched on Steam on October 7, and it has a "Very Positive" rating with 86 reviews.
- Tiny Terrors - released on October 10, this is a top-down casual action game with Halloween vibes. It currently has the "Positive" player rating with 25 reviews.
- Upload Labs - a sci-fi management game that's all about building and optimizing computers from the ground up. It was released on Steam on October 3, and it currently boasts a "Very Positive" rating with over 1,600 reviews.
- Hydropawnics - a casual strategy game with interesting isometric puzzles. It comes with proper controller support (8BitDo Ultimate 2 curr. $52.66 on Amazon), was released on Steam as a free game on October 03, and it currently boasts a "Positive" rating with 12 reviews.
- Casey Noir and Carved Pumpkin's Latte - a point-and-click murder mystery game with an interesting narrative. This free game became available on October 1 and has a "Positive" rating with 12 reviews.
