Current and former Starlink satellite Internet service subscribers have begun receiving offers for monthly fee discounts.
These range from 25% to a whopping 75% off, and are valid for periods from six months to two years. One user in Canada who suspended their Starlink account took advantage of an offer for 50% off for six months, while the next discount email at the end of the period offered the service at 75% off.
The 2-year discount offer is aimed at those who suspended or cancelled their account because they got fiber installed, or simply don't need Starlink at the place they used to. Former Starlink users in the US, Canada, or Australia are now receiving monthly fee discount messages, and the most common offer lets returning customers have a Residential plan subscription at 50% off for two years. It is a legitimate Starlink deal aimed at bringing stray customers back into the fold by letting them pay $60 a month instead of the full Residential plan price.
Starlink is running numerous other deals besides the 50% monthly subscription fee discount for repeat customers. It currently offers discounted or free Starlink dishes - both Standard and the Mini dish - in a series s inventive promos. In some states in the US, the free Starlink dish is offered as a rental with zero monthly payment, for instance, while current Residential plan customers can get a Starlink Mini dish at a low price or for free to use away from home with a Roam plan subscription if the need arises.
Starlink is also running monthly fee discounts in select areas, with payment as low as $49/month for a year on the Residential Lite plan. Still, 50% off the monthly fee of the regular Residential plan that doesn't throttle speeds for two years is an offer that will be hard to pass on as it largely equates Starlink and fiber prices.
