Just ahead of the premiere of The Last Jedi, Disney's latest entry in the long-running Star Wars saga, Lenovo plans to release special edition variants of its Yoga 920 2-in-1 notebook. The Yoga 920, which was announced a few days ago during the company's IFA keynote, will come in both "Rebel Alliance" and "Galactic Empire" versions.
The two designs are identical to those found on the Yoga 910, Lenovo's current flagship laptop and that which the Yoga 920 will replace when it goes on sale next month. The Galactic Empire design features the iconic emblem on a starry, black outer space background, while the Rebel Alliance version places its emblem on top of a scarred and pitted concrete wall background. Both designs cover the full extent of the notebook's lid.
Aside from the cool-looking Star Wars art, these special edition notebooks will otherwise be no different from the standard Yoga 920. All three models will feature the same 14-inch screen, run on the latest-generation Intel processors, and offer the same memory and storage options.
Two things that the standard and Star Wars-themed notebooks will not share, however, are prices and release dates. While the regular Yoga 920 will hit retailers in October at a US$1,900 starting price, the two special edition models will cost a bit more and launch much later. Expect them to be available in early December and start at just over US$2,250.
