With the Sony WH-1000XM6 slated to launch later this year, Sony's current flagship wireless headset, the WH-1000XM5, has received a $100 price cut on Amazon. You can now buy it for $299 on Amazon. For now, the discount only applies to the black colourway. While it isn't the cheapest the high-end headphones have retailed for, it is a substantial discount. This is confirmed by CamelCamelCamel's price tracker.
Sony recently added a bunch of new features to the WH-1000XM5, such as LDAC multipoint connectivity, head tracking, Auto Switch and compatibility with Google's Find My Device API and Fast Pair (Bluetooth LE only).
Other notable Sony WH-1000XM5 features include better noise cancellation, more microphones, 30 mm drivers and a modified design. The last-gen Sony WH-1000XM4 is also a solid option, but it isn't on sale right now. Don't worry, though, as they get discounted quite often.
