Reviews for the Sony Vaio Tap 21 SV-T21227CXB
Source: Hot Hardware

The benchmarks, however, don’t convey what the user experience was like with the Sony VAIO Taop 21. Though the machine didn’t tear up the benchmarks, it was actually a pleasure to use. Sony didn’t outfit the system with very powerful hardware, but the user experience is still very good.

Intel HD Graphics 4400:

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
4500U:
Haswell-based ULV dual-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.0 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4400 and a dual-channel DDR3 memory controller.

Such large screen formats are usually only available for desktop computers or as external monitors for laptops. Mobility should no longer play a role, here it is only about displaying high resolutions in a clearly visible way. Ideal for the visually impaired and people who want to display as much as possible on their screen at the same time.

Only a few laptops are in this weight class because the mobility is rather limited due to the high weight.
