Shelly App now supports managing multiple homes and apartments

Shortly after announcing support for multiple dashboards on its own wall displays, Shelly is now going a step further. Effective immediately, Shelly Control, the manufacturer's proprietary management platform for Shelly devices, enables so-called "Home Management." The company recently announced this via its forum and changelog.
The Shelly Control platform also includes the smartphone apps for Android and iOS, making the new feature available on mobile devices as well. Specifically, it is now possible to create up to five different homes per user.
Other users can then be invited into these homes, allowing them to access the existing devices as well. When adding another Shelly Control user (via their registered email address), you can choose which permissions the new member should have. Whether it is just controlling the devices or full access to settings and scenes, there are plenty of options when assigning user rights.

From my perspective, this feature is particularly useful when you want to allow seniors or children to control smart home devices while preventing important settings and automation scenes from being accidentally changed. However, sharing access with other roommates or family members is naturally useful in everyday life as well. Anyone who wanted to do this previously either had to share their Shelly account or resort to external smart home platforms like Home Assistant.
In general, the new feature can be used with all devices managed in the Shelly app. This applies in particular to the popular smart plugs or switching actuators.
