Seven new Casio watches with minimalist design unveiled

Casio has unveiled seven new MTP-VT05 watches on its international website. This new minimal model was unveiled alongside the MTP-VT06 series watch, which has a more detailed dial.
The Casio MTP-VT05D-1E (black dial), MTP-VT05D-2E (blue dial) and MTP-VT05D-7E (white dial) watches have a silver colored ion plated case with a matching metal band. The MTP-VT05G-1E (black dial) and the MTP-VT05G-7E (white dial) have gold tone casing and bracelets. The final two watches are the MTP-VT05L-1E (black dial) and the MTP-VT05L-7E (white dial), again with silver tone ion-plated cases, though with black leather straps.
Casio’s MTP-VT05 has a minimalist design, with a slim metal bezel surrounding the round face. The casing measures 43.0 x 37.0 x 8.6 m (~1.69 x 1.46 x 0.34 inches), and the model is marketed as water resistant for typical use. The dial features three analog hands, which should remain accurate to within 15 seconds monthly, and a date display in the 3 o’clock position. These watches are powered by an SR626SW battery and should run for around three years.
Casio has yet to officially announce the release date and pricing for the MTP-VT05 watches. However, Vietnamese retailer G-Shock Hải Phòng suggests that these timepieces could be released in this market in June 2026.
