New Casio G-Shock GA-2100 collab watch launches with exclusive packaging

Casio has released a new regional store exclusive G-Shock built on the GA-2100 platform. It has been created in collaboration with Chinese artist Cui Xinwen. The GA-2100-7APRY-KIT is exclusive to the Yunnan City G-Shock store and themed around the region through a Lucky Elephant motif, which is a fitting choice considering Yunnan province is the only place in China where wild Asian elephants still roam.
The watch itself uses the standard white GA-2100 base — carbon fiber-reinforced resin case, black dial, analog-digital module with 20 BAR water resistance — but the collab work is concentrated on the band. Cui Xinwen's Lucky Elephant character, which is rendered in black ink illustration style, appears multiple times across the full length of both strap sides in different poses. The blue strap holes are present for contrast against the white band. The case back carries a black-on-dark-dial dial layout that keeps the overall presentation pretty clean. The strap does most of the visual work.
The "KIT" suffix in the model name also has meaning. Alongside the watch, the package includes a black-and-white checkered rope lanyard carrying three enamel charms from Cui Xinwen's character universe — a blue elephant in a red mushroom cap, a dancing yellow figure, and a teal abstract form. The charms are attached via swivel clasps, which means they can be mixed or detached independently. The packaging itself is a collector's item: a sturdy light-blue box wrapped in full-coverage artwork featuring the Lucky Elephant, which @geesgshock — who appears to be among the first to share images internationally — confirmed arrived in May.
No pricing or wider availability has been announced. Casio has form with China regional store exclusives on the GA-2100 platform, most recently the Guiyang store's GA-2100HDS-7A1PRG last year, and this follows the same playbook.
