Casio launches new premium diving watch with interchangeable straps

Casio has officially launched the new G-Shock MR-G Frogman MRG-BF1000EB-1A watch in Japan. This new premium model leaked earlier in May 2026, and it is set for a June 2026 release. It celebrates the 30th anniversary of MR-G, with a design inspired by brinicles, or brine icicles, that can form in polar oceans.
The Casio G-Shock MRG-BF1000EB-1A has a facet-cut Cobarion bezel. This has been handmade by Kazuo Komatsu and has arc ion plating (AIP) in a shade of dark blue. Other blues accents include a pair of brilliant-cut sapphires and the dial indicators. This model has a dark gray watch face and a titanium casing. Plus, it comes with interchangeable straps: a white Dura Soft strap and a titanium bracelet matching the watch’s silver tone case.
Features of the G-Shock Frogman MRG-BF1000 ISO 200-meter diving water resistance, a dedicated diving mode with surface time measurements and on-watch tide graphs. Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, users can access a diving log and adjust tide graph settings in the Casio Watches smartphone app. The model supports dual time, and also has a 1-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and a daily alarm. Plus, the analog timepiece is radio-controlled (Multiband 6) and has Tough Solar technology to extend its battery life.
In Japan, the Casio G-Shock MR-G Frogman MRG-BF1000EB-1A watch will be released on June 12th with a relatively high RRP of ¥1,210,000 (~$7,594). A product listing on the Casio international website indicates that this model will also be available in other markets worldwide at some point in June 2026. There will only be 800 units of this limited edition model available globally, each marked with a serial number on the metal case back.
