CES 2021 | Schlep your silicon stuff in sustainable style with HP's Renew travel bags, made from up to 97% recycled material
HP unveiled two new travel bags for laptops that offer style and sustainability to commuters and travelers.
The HP Renew 15.6-inch Travel Backpack is a backpack that can carry up to a 15.6-inch laptop. The water-resistant backpack has a large main compartment, nine internal pockets, four external pockets (one of which is on the right strap for quick access, and one key fob. The backpack features a padded handle, two padded shoulder straps, a thickly padded back panel, and a sternum strap to ease the load off your back. The padded interior also helps to protect whatever is inside.
The HP Renew 15.6-inch Travel Bag is a traditionally-styled laptop bag that can fit up to a 15.6-inch laptop in its main compartment. The shoulder-slung satchel features 1 large main compartment, nine internal pockets, and three external pockets. The bag features similar interior padding as the backpack and is also water-resistant.
HP designed both the Renew Travel Backpack and Renew Travel Bag with sustainability in mind: The backpack is made from 72% recycled material, while the bag is made from 97% recycled polyester material. That’s the equivalent of ten and six 16.9 oz plastic water bottles, respectively.
The backpack comes in at 430 mm x 290 mm x 140 mm (16.93 in x 11.42 in x 5.51 in) (unpacked). The bag measures 395 mm x 80 mm x 275 mm (15.55 in x 3.15 in x 10.83 in) (unpacked).
Both the Renew Travel Backpack and Renew Travel Bag will be available in February starting at US$49.
