Model: The Schenker XMG P706 is a fully customizable gaming laptop that can be fine-tuned to cater to any gaming needs. Also known as the XMG P706 17.3" Pro Gaming Notebook, the overall design contains angled edges and an aggressive overall silhouette. The same can't be said for the color scheme as the entire device is finished in a textured dark grey. Display on the Schenker XMG P706 is a 17.3 inch Full-HD IPS panel with matte finish. Gamers will certainly find the built-in display impressive with its good resolution and contrast.
Inside the full aluminium chassis is an Intel Core i7-6700HQ quad-core processor clocked at 2.6 GHz, a maximum of 32GB DDR4 RAM and the top end choice of a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M with 8 GB of GDDR5 VRAM. Users can opt to install a combination of two M.2 SSDs and two HDDs for a maximum total storage capacity of 3 TB. Other options on the Schenker XMG P706 are the optional external optical drive, the optional a Qualcomm Atheros Killer WiFi card, an extended warranty and the operating system. The Schenker XMG P706 weighs in at around 3.3 kg and comes with up to 5 hours of battery life.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M:
Fast high-end graphics card based on the Maxwell GM204 chip from the GeForce GTX 900M series.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
6700HQ: Skylake-based quad-core processor for notebooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 530 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
17.30": This display size is a standard format for desktop replacements (DTR). The DTR laptops are heavier to carry, need more power, but texts are easy to read and high resolutions are no problem. DTR are mainly intended for stationary desk use, where weight and energy hunger don't matter. In return, you enjoy the advantages of high resolutions (more details, better legibility).» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
3.2 kg:
A laptop with this weight is comparatively heavy and less designed for mobility than for use at the desk. Therefore, the devices tend to shine less with battery life than with a large screen and higher performance.
