A new report says that Samsung is currently working on two new smartphones, named the Galaxy Grand On and Galaxy Mega On. What’s more, the new handsets will be part of the purported „Galaxy O” series of entry-level devices, actual name of which may be „Galaxy On”.

According to the report, the Galaxy Mega On (model number: SM-G600) will feature a 5.5-inch, 1280 x 720 resolution display. It will be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, accompanied by 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage space (partly taken up by the OS), expandable via microSD card slot. Samsung Galaxy Mega On will also allegedly come with a 13 MP / 5 MP camera duo and a 3000 mAh battery.

The other upcoming model, Galaxy Grand On (SM-G550), is expected to sport a 5-inch, 720p display, a quad-core 1.3 GHz Exynos 3475 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and the same, expandable storage space as the Mega On. It will also feature an 8 MP rear-facing camera and a 5 MP selfie shooter, as well as a 2600 mAh battery.

Previously, the SM-G600 was believed to be called Galaxy O5 at launch, while the G550 was supposed to carry the Galaxy O7 name. Right now, there is no information regarding the release date of the new handsets.
