Samsung teases a mystery Windows 8 device

Teaser
YouTube clip hints at a transforming tablet/notebook equipped with an S-Pen and Windows 8

In a da Vinci themed video posted on Samsung’s YouTube channel, the South Korean manufacturer is trying hard to tease their next Windows 8 device. Posted earlier this week, the video was picked up by the folks over at Neowin, but the actual info available is very sparse.

Running with the theme of “The Evolution of Technology”, the 37-second teaser shows off a few sides of Samsung’s mystery device, including what appears to be a sliding mechanism and an S-Pen slot. In addition, Samsung captioned the device by claiming that “the time is near for the big reveal” but failed to include any actual info outside of it being a “Windows-8-ready innovation”.

With the October 26th launch of Windows 8 and the Surface tablet exactly 2 months away, Samsung is clearly getting ready to get in on the action. Unfortunately, we don’t actually know if that action entails a notebook, tablet or a mix of both, but we’re hoping for more info in the coming weeks.
