Samsung is currently thought to launch successors to the Galaxy Z Fold2 and Z Flip 5G in 2021. They are though to be equally high-end devices (at least) that will reprise their respective flexible designs for yet another year. Then again, it now seems they might represent a shake-up to their OEM's launch schedule this time around.
IceUniverse's latest Twitter post on this subject indicates that those looking forward to the Z Fold3 and Flip 3 "may have to wait 5 months". This means the new foldables might make their debut in July 2021, whereas Samsung usually has its marquee Unpacked event closer to August each year.
This may not be the only change this conference might see in the near future. It often presents the latest generation of Galaxy Notes, which, according to a growing number of leaks, might not even happen this year. Furthermore, Samsung is expected to introduce 2 additional foldables this year. One of them is now said to be a Galaxy Z Fold3 Ultra, which may be bad news for increasing accessibility to this new class of smartphones.
