While the new Galaxy J1 has just launched in Russia next to its mini variant, details on international availability and pricing as still not available for now.

The new Galaxy J1 has been in the rumor mill for a while, and then it became official in Dubai two months ago. Its mini variant was the target of a few leaks and rumors as well. Now, both have been launched in Russia, their specs matching most of the common leaks.

The new Samsung Galaxy J1 is powered by a quad-core Exynos 3475 SoC, having 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, supplemented by a microSD slot. The handset has a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display and low-end cameras - 2 MP front, 5 MP back. It features 4G LTE, has a 2050 mAh battery, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The smaller J1 mini has a 4-inch WVGA TFT display and is powered by a slower quad-core processor, also featuring 768 MB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, and microSD support. It has a 1500 mAh battery and does not offer LTE connectivity.

Both handsets can be acquired in white, gold, or black. Unfortunately, there is no information on their international pricing and availability yet, but we will keep you posted. The J1 mini can be purchased in Russia for roughly $78 USD at this time.
