The latest leak about the next-gen Gear smartwatch confirms its arrival is scheduled to take place in September at IFA and also mentions a rotary bezel design.
The successor of the popular Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch has been in the rumor mill for a while and now SamMobile has just confirmed a few key facts. As far as rumors go, they confirmed the September launch date and the fact that the Gear S3 will keep the round shape of its predecessor.
"We can reveal today that the Gear S3 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor and makes use of a rotary bezel which basically means that Samsung’s next smartwatch is round as well," writes SamMobile. Their exclusive article on the upcoming smartwatch also confirms that Samsung plans to unveil the Gear S3 at IFA 2016 in Berlin, this September.
IFA 2016 is scheduled to run between September 2 and September 7. This consumer electronics trade show previously hosted all the launch events of Galaxy Note handsets. However, the next-gen Note will launch next week, on August 2, so the Gear S3 will be able to draw all the attention one month later.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
