Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, the Korean giant's new high-end tablet, is going to be launched next month. According to the latest information, the device will feature a 4:3 aspect ratio screen and will be available in two sizes: 8-inch and 9.7-inch. Both are supposed to come in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi plus LTE standards.
Another outstanding feature of Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 will be its thickness of 0.21 inches, making it thinner than both iPad Air and the currently-thinnest tablet on the market, the Dell Venue 8 7000.
Both the 8-inch and 9.7-inch variants will run Android 5.0 and come equipped with a 64-bit Exynos (no information on specific model yet) processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage space, a micro-SD card slot and Super AMOLED display with 2048 x 1536 resolution. The device will also feature 8 megapixel main camera and a 2 megapixel front-facing one. The LTE variants will support Cat. 6 version of the standard, allowing transfers of up to 300 Mbps.
The new Galaxy Tab S2’s will be released throughout all major markets, including the US, Canada, Europe, China, South America, Korea and India. Pricing has not yet been unveiled.
