Shortly before CES 2018, AMD has unveiled three brand-new APUs designed specifically with business laptops in mind. The Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U, Ryzen 5 PRO 2500U and the Ryzen 3 PRO 2300U are equivalent to the similarly-named “non-PRO” consumer models and offer additional security features for business customers.
The well-known Security Chip, which is used in consoles, is also included in the Ryzen APUs and can be used for TSME encryption, Secure Boot and Trusted Applications. AMD promises 18 months of software image stability, 24 months of processor availability and a 3-year limited warranty.
