Rocket League is celebrating 10 years of car football with a dedicated in-game anniversary event. First launched on 7 July 2015, the game has become a staple in competitive multiplayer gaming known for its high-speed blend of driving, physics and football.
According to the official Rocket League blog, the celebration is taking place as part of Season 19, which began on 18 June 2025 and runs through 17 September. Players can take part in a rotating schedule of limited-time modes including Heatseeker, Knockout, Beach Ball, Spike Rush, Boomer Ball and a refreshed 4 versus 4 Anniversary mode. Each will be available for a limited window during the season. A short official trailer was also released to mark the occasion.
Special challenges will unlock Golden Egg 2024 drops and exclusive anniversary-themed cosmetics. Rocket League is also encouraging community participation with a fan vote to determine which extra game mode returns during the final stretch of the event.
All content is accessible across platforms without additional purchase.
The official blog confirms returning modes, themed challenges and the revamped DFH Stadium (10th Anniversary), with Club updates and music rewards arriving throughout Season 19.
The anniversary celebrations coincide with the release of the Rocket League x Monstercat: 10 Year Anniversary 2xLP Vinyl, which includes remastered fan-favourite tracks such as "LUV U NEED U" by Slushii and “Therapy” by Conro. According to Bleeding Cool, the vinyl will be available in two limited variants and features artwork from Kristopher Satterwhite.
One fan marked the milestone on Reddit with a heartfelt tribute:
"Happy 10 year anniversary to the game that changed my life! From meeting my best friend through Rocket League during the dark covid days to making a professional career out of the game (content, signed to Gen.G Mobil 1 & own channel along with epic partner), getting to travel and hang with people at LANs and much more! This game has, and still means a lot to me. I wouldn't be the same person I was today without a bit of silly car soccer. Onto 10 more years!"
As Rocket League enters its second decade, the anniversary event reflects not only the game's enduring popularity but also the strength of its community and its creative evolution.
