Remedy details ray and path tracing hardware specs for Control Resonant ahead of launch

Remedy’s highly awaited sequel to Control, Control Resonant, launches two weeks from now, on September 24. The studio already revealed the minimum and recommended requirements a while back, though fans quickly noticed the requirements made no mention of ray tracing or path tracing.
Now, Remedy has finally revealed the final system requirements for Control Resonant just two weeks before launch. These requirements provide a complete overview of the hardware players will require to run the game with ray tracing or path tracing.
The detailed configurations are listed below. Players should note that all of the configurations listed below require Windows 10/11 64-bit versions as the OS, and 120 GB SSD storage. DLSS 4.5 upscaling, DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, and DLSS Frame Generation technologies will be supported, along with FSR 4.1 upscaling and FSR 4.1 Frame Generation technologies. Uncapped frame rates are also supported on PC.
Minimum Requirements (1080p and 30 FPS):
- Upscaler Preset: Quality
- Graphics Preset: Low
- Ray Tracing: Off

- RAM: 16GB
- GPU: GTX 1070 / RX 5600 XT / Arc A580
- VRAM: 6GB
Recommended Requirements (1440p and 60 FPS):
- Upscaler Preset: Balanced
- Graphics Preset: Medium

Remedy isn't pulling any punches with visuals on ray and path tracing, judging by these requirements. Still, fans hope Control Resonant is decently optimized, but given the recent trend of poorly optimized PC launches and Remedy’s track record (see Alan Wake 2), it is possible Control Resonant could launch in a rough state. The requirements state these configurations were tested without any Frame Generation technologies, so that option is also available if players want a performance boost.
