Redmi Note 14 Pro+ could rival the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus with a new Dimensity SoC
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ in September of last year, and the successor could just be weeks away from being announced. While the company hasn’t shared any details about the upcoming mid-range smartphone, Digital Chat Station, a reputable Weibo tipster, has hinted at what the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ could pack.
As per the latest report, the Note 14 Pro+ could feature the Dimensity 7350 Pro SoC. It's a new mid-range SoC from MediaTek and is the same one that Nothing is using for its upcoming Phone (2a) Plus. Given that the Note 13 Pro+ (available on Amazon) also featured a MediaTek chip, the Dimensity 7200 Ultra, this info shared on this leak doesn’t seem odd.
Digital Chat Station has gone over some of the other possible specs of the Note 14 Pro+ too. The tipster says that the phone will feature a 1.5K screen, a 50 MP large primary camera on the back, a plastic middle frame, and an optical fingerprint sensor. These specs could make the upcoming mid-range phone a proper competitor against the Phone (2a) Plus.
But again, both phones have yet to be launched, and while Nothing's new phone is confirmed to launch on July 31, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ hasn't been announced yet. So, it’s better to take this leak with a pinch of salt.
