Ever since Android and iOS boomed, Blackberry hasn't been able to secure a hold on the market like they once had. However, Research in Motion is hoping Blackberry 10 is the answer to their woes, and what better way to show it off than on the biggest stage of all?
On next Sunday, the 3rd of February, millions of viewers will tune in mainly to watch the Ravens and 49ers compete in Super Bowl XLVII but also to view the multitude of commercials that have become synonymous with the game. With last year's 30 second slot averaging $3.5 million, RIM is hoping that their ad will provide significant exposure for their new smartphone and tablet OS.
Though the new OS will be officially launched on the 30th of January in New York, RIM is hoping that the ad will show the rest of the world some of what Blackberry has to offer. The company will also be supplementing the commercial with various online events, including promoted posts and activities on Facebook and Twitter.
