Danish design specialist Pedestal has teamed up with Sony to develop one of the most unusual accessories for the Sony PlayStation 5. The Pedestal Moon Legacy Edition is intended to transform a PS5 and TV into an art object inspired by the design of the PlayStation 1.

Pedestal has been offering stands for Smart TVs for years, which make it easy to move a TV from one room to another using castors. The new Moon Legacy Edition is now aimed specifically at users of a Sony PlayStation 5 or a Sony PS5 Pro ($749 on Amazon). The color scheme has been matched to the first generation Sony PlayStation, and therefore also fits perfectly with the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition of the PlayStation 5.

Pedestal is made of powder-coated stainless steel, making it particularly robust and durable. Weighing around 15 kilograms, the stand is suitable for televisions with a screen diagonal of 40 to 70 inches. Four wheels make Pedestal easy to move - perfect if the entire gaming setup needs to be stowed away in a storage room or moved to another room. A shelf under the TV offers space for a PlayStation 5 and other accessories.

The stand comes with a holder for two Sony DualSense controllers with a matching gray finish. Although this holder does not have any electronics, it does offer a cable guide so that the gamepads can be charged with the supplied cable. The stand is supplied disassembled and must therefore be assembled by the buyer before use.

Prices and availability

PlayStation x Pedestal Moon Legacy Edition can now be ordered directly from the manufacturer for €670. Delivery will begin on April 7, 2026. Shipping is currently only available within Europe.
