The WP62 5G is Oukitel’s latest rugged smartphone. It’s already listed on the manufacturer’s website for about $329 and comes in two color versions, but this price doesn't include shipping and potential taxes and import fees. Several other and quite similar smartphones from this brand are already available on Amazon.
5G chipset and rugged design
The smartphone features a design the manufacturer describes as so-called "Mech-Style", and it sports with a rather striking rear panel. The WP62 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025, which comes with a 5G modem. It supports dual SIM, but only if users don’t need the second slot for storage expansion via microSD. The handset measures around 6.8 x 3.2 x 0.6 inches and is equipped with 8, 12 or 16GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the UFS 3.1 storage has a capacity of 256 or 512GB. It also has the usual rugged phone certifications, including IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H, which means it should survive drops from about 5 ft.
Power bank feature but no AMOLED screen
The Oukitel WP62 5G also features a 6.58-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a typical brightness of 450 nits. The IPS has a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Moreover, the camera setup includes a 108MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera and an 8MP night vision camera. The battery supports 33W fast charging and has a capacity of 11,000mAh. It can also serve as a power bank, but it only charges other devices with up to 7.5 watts, which is comparatively slow for a power bank in 2025. Last but not least, the Oukitel phone runs on Android 15, but buyers shouldn’t expect major software updates.
