Reviews for the Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G

OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G review - Is this the new portrait mode cameraphone king?
Source: Tech Nave English
If you are looking for a midrange phone that can produce the most beautiful Portrait mode photos, the OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G is definitely the phone for you. It offers a camera that is on par with other flagship phones but in terms of specifications, it is slightly lower than other 2022 flagship phones. As such, the Reno7 Pro is also an ideal phone if you want a great camera but don’t care so much about the fastest or latest tech specs. If the Reno7 Pro which is priced at RM2,999 is too expensive, you can get the OPPO Reno7 5G (RM1,999) which also offers the same Portrait camera functions as the Reno7 Pro, but with a different design, smaller screen and MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset that is not as fast as the Dimensity 1200 Max. Other suitable alternatives for the Reno7 Pro 5G include the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE (RM3,099), vivo X70 (RM2,499) and iPhone 12 mini (RM2,899).

OPPO Reno 7 Pro Review: Better Than Vivo V23 Pro?
Source: Gadgetbyte Nepal English
Summing up this review, the OPPO Reno 7 Pro is most definitely a head-turner of a phone in terms of its design—while its display, speakers, and battery life are pretty solid too. However, I feel like the company could have optimized the cameras better in terms of portraits. Also, I found its lack of better video recording capability and the fact that it still runs on Android 11 to be a sore spot for me. And not to forget, like with most OPPO phones, the Reno 7 Pro is priced slightly higher for the specs it offers as well. Yes, you can get some discounts in the offline market, so it’s not exactly a bad choice in its price range.

80% Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G Smartphone Review
Source: PC Quest English
With excellent design, sleek profile, mazing camera and power-packed MediaTek SoC, OPPO has made an excellent device offering a comprehensive smartphone experience with a few caveats. The screen could have a better refresh rate, could have Android 12 and missed a 3.5 mm jack and microSD slot.

OPPO Reno7 5G Review – Great Cameras and Nothing Else
Source: Cashify English
Oppo Reno7 5G and Reno7 Pro 5G have been launched in India, and the two new smartphones succeed the Reno6 series from last year. The Reno 7 Pro was also reviewed by us and found to be a very stylish smartphone with amazing cameras. When compared to the Reno 6, the Reno 7 that was recently launched in India is practically a new wine in an old bottle. It has a fresh design and camera stack, but the Dimensity 900 SoC from the Reno 6 stays the same. The performance, however, falls short of rival smartphones for the price. This issue is amplified by the lack of stereo speakers and a 120Hz display. Despite this, the Reno7’s ability to provide useful features and modes on its camera app for social media enthusiasts can make it a popular pick among the youth. With that stated, I’ve been using the Oppo Reno7 5G for about a week and here’s what I think of it. Is the Oppo Reno7 5G as excellent as its predecessor in terms of value? Keep reading to find out.

70% OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G Review: stepping up the Portrait game
Source: KL Gadget Guy English
Ultimately, the Reno7 Pro 5G is an excellent smartphone that I can hardly consider it as mid-range, sure enough it doesn’t have the fastest internals or best display, but the overall user experience is a pleasant one and OPPO could easily issue a software fix to rectify the inconsistent camera performance. However, the asking price of RM2,999 makes the Reno7 Pro 5G no easy recommendation, while OPPO is definitely looking at the premium audience, the new Galaxy S22 series and iPhone 13 could be better alternatives for a slight cash top up, not unless you appreciate things like faster charging and expandable storage, it’s definitely a tough fight for the Reno7 Pro 5G to appeal to its intended audiences.

79% Oppo Reno 7 Pro Review: Lots of beauty… and a bit of a beast
Source: Tech PP English
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro is as much about flaunt as about function. It is not a benchmark buster, but its performance will be more than sufficient for most mainstream users. It is not a flagship killer; it is a stare-magnet. There is a lot of beauty, with just enough beast to get most work done. At Rs 39,999, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro goes up against a number of budget flagships and will be banking on its combination of style and camera quotient to win the day for it.

75% Oppo Reno7 Pro Review — Flaring Up Your Bokehs
Source: Pokde English
Is the OPPO Reno7 Pro a decent smartphone? Yes, it is. Is it worth the asking price of RM2,999? Well that really depends on what you’re looking for. I wished that they’ve had at least utilized a better chipset for starters. I’m not saying that the Dimensity 1200 Max is bad, but for that price, you’d expect something better. Other than that, the upgrade compared to the previous Reno6 Pro is quite minimal. That being said, if you don’t mind some of the subjective points that I’ve mentioned earlier and you enjoy having a flashy smartphone, go for it.

80% Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G Review: Camera performance on roar!
Source: The Times of India English
I feel the camera of Oppo Reno 7 Pro is praise-worthy, mainly because of the portrait and bokeh mode. It also offers a premium look, good battery backup, and decent performance. Though there are still certain areas for improvement. At a time when smartphone brands are coming up with Android 12, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro still runs on Android 11. It also lacks a high refresh rate of 120Hz. However, in the Rs. 40,000 price range, the competition is tough and if you are looking for alternatives, you have options like Xiaomi 11T Pro, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, among others.

60% OPPO Reno 7 Pro review: One step forward, two steps back
Source: Android Central English
The Reno 7 Pro gets a lot right: the selfie camera is among the best you'll find on any phone today, you get 256GB of storage as default, and the internal hardware is decent. The primary camera also holds its own against its immediate rivals, but the phone is still on Android 11 and misses out on table-stakes features like water resistance and wireless charging. For what you're paying, there are better options available.

OPPO Reno 7 Pro Review: Old wine in a new bottle
Source: XDA Developers English
For a starting price of ₹40,000 (~$530), the OPPO Reno 7 Pro doesn’t offer the best value unless a good-looking phone is on top of your priority list. The Reno 7 Pro has a beautiful design, a great display with slim bezels, solid performance, reliable cameras, good battery life, and fast charging. You see, it’s a perfectly good phone. However, there’s nothing really that stands out especially when you factor in the older chipset that was found on the previous-gen Reno 6 Pro and the fact that the phone still runs on Android 11. OPPO’s track record with updates isn’t exactly stellar either so keep that in mind. Unless you’re really impressed with that design, there are better phones in the market at this price range. The OPPO Reno 5 Pro was launched at an aggressive price of ₹34,999 and if they could match that with the Reno 7 Pro, which I’m sure they very well could since they’re using older hardware, my verdict would have been different.

80% Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G review: Stylish phone with focus on camera, performance
Source: The Indian Express English
The Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G is no doubt a feature-packed device, which delivers well on performance and camera. The sleek design also makes this one stand out compared to its closest rivals. The battery life and fast charging are also more than adequate. There are some aspects of the camera which could be better, such as the skin tones, portrait mode’s edge detection. Software remains a point of concern. If you are looking for a phone at the Rs 40,000 mark, Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G does make a stylish statement. The only challenge will be in proving that it is better than the OnePlus 9RT or the Xiaomi 11T Pro, which are also priced closely and pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset.

Oppo has launched its first 2022 flagship smartphone Oppo Reno 7 Pro, in India. The device was launched in China a few months ago. It is part of the Oppo Reno 7 series that consists of Oppo Reno 7 and Oppo Reno 7 Pro. The lineup is the successor to the Oppo Reno 6 series that was launched in the country early last year. Although the Oppo Reno 7 Pro is priced at Rs 39,999, it offers improvements in terms of camera, performance and software. The smartphone is powered by customised MediaTek Dimensity 1200 MAX chipset. Oppo claims that the chipset results in enhanced display, better imaging capabilities and clearer videos when compared to the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 in the Reno 6 Pro. We got a chance to use the flagship Oppo Reno 7 Pro for sometime and here’s what we think of it.

Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G Review: Lots Of Style, But What About Substance?
Source: Think Digit English
If you want a phone that looks and feels like a million dollars and can also capture really good shots, regardless of the lighting conditions from both its front and the rear sensors, then the Oppo Reno 7 Pro could be the phone for you. However, for pretty much everything else, including the performance of the core hardware, the Reno 7 Pro gets bested by competing phones which offer a lot more at a similar price point. And that honestly could be the Reno 7 Pro's biggest problem going forward as even more powerful devices like the iQOO 9 Pro are expected to launch in India in the coming days at around the same price point as the Reno 7 Pro.

OPPO Reno 7 Pro review: An incremental upgrade lifted by mesmerising design
Source: Business Standard English
Priced at Rs 39,999, the OPPO Reno 7 Pro 5G is an expensive smartphone for the package it offers. But, it is certainly more than the sum of its specifications. The phone is not about the regulars but value-added features. That said, it makes a good smartphone despite bringing just incremental upgrades over the predecessor. One thing is sure though, the overall feel of the Reno 7 Pro is positive but not premium or flagship kind. Spend a little more and you get the much better OnePlus 9RT (review). Even if you care for the OPPO’s value-added features, most of them are part of the OnePlus smartphone. Other than OPPO and OnePlus smartphones, there is Xiaomi 11T Pro (review). This Xiaomi smartphone is a solid all-round package, with several industry-first features. Importantly, unlike the OPPO’s niche features, the Xiaomi’s are for all and make a perceptible difference in everyday use.

80% Oppo Reno 7 Pro Review: A Glowing Success?
Source: NDTV Gadgets English
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro is a good update to the Reno 6 Pro, and Oppo has done the right thing by pricing it lower. The flat display, stereo speakers, and improved camera sensors are all welcome changes. Battery life is also solid, and it doesn't hurt to have super-fast charging. The AI camera features and filters are fun additions if you're looking to create social-media-ready photos and videos without having to tinker around in other apps. There's still plenty of room for improvement though. I was expecting more of an upgrade in the display and SoC departments. Video recording was a bit of a sore point for me with the Reno 6 Pro and it doesn't seem as though there's been any meaningful improvement. Despite the lower price, I still feel you can get better value from the competition. Phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G (Review), Moto Edge 20 Pro (Review), Realme GT (Review) and Xiaomi 11T Pro offer more powerful processors and higher refresh rate displays. You can even get impressive telephoto cameras in the same price range.

75% Oppo Reno 7 Pro review: An attractive phone with a catch
Source: India Today English
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro at Rs 39,999 is not my outright choice for a premium phone. While it does bring an exemplary design that can amuse anyone, cameras that you will love as a photography enthusiast and a performance that leaves nothing to complain about. But all of that is easily available on the phone for far less price. Also, the market is full of phones that offer a flagship experience for that price. So, if you ask me whether or not you should buy this phone, I will say yes only if you are not an Oppo loyalist, someone who likes to flaunt their new phone, or someone who does not believe in reasonable buying and would just splurge on your favourite thing.

Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G hands-on review
Source: GSM Arena English
We like the Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G. It's a nice phone to look at and touch, thanks to its unique design and finish. It's also nicely compact and light, hitting a sweet spot between small and large. It's also well-equipped with a quality 90Hz AMOLED display, capable main and selfie cameras, and a promise of good battery endurance with lightning-fast charging. Oppo has priced the Reno7 Pro 5G reasonably, as well, making it a solid choice in the segment. However, the Reno7 Pro 5G isn't without rivals. There are a few competitors from Samsung and Xiaomi, and Oppo's stablemate vivo that could pose a challenge at lower prices. Realme's upcoming 9 Pro series is also looking like a strong choice. Is the Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G's design enough to overcome those challengers? We're not sure. Only time will tell.

Oppo Reno 7 Pro First impressions – Beauty-full indeed!
Source: The Mobile Indian English
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro definitely has the looks, and at least some of the specs to make it big in the Indian market. Mind you, it has a lot of competition on its hands at its price point of —, especially from the likes of the Xiaomi 11T Pro, the iQoo Legend 7 and for those looking for stylish phones, the Vivo V23 Pro. A lot is going to depend on how well the Reno 7 Pro performs, especially in the camera department, as many of its competitors come with better display and processors on paper. Oppo has definitely turned on the style with the Reno 7 Pro. It needs to prove that its beauty is not just skin deep. As of now, we can safely say that this is a phone that will turn heads. Now it needs to prove that there is a performance beast beneath all that shimmer-y beauty.

70% OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G review: redefines elegance
Source: 91mobiles English
OPPO has excelled in creating a comprehensive smartphone experience with a few caveats. Like with a few other Reno smartphones in the past, the pricing of the device seems to be on the higher side. In its price range, the Reno7 Pro is outstripped in terms of performance and display metrics by the likes of the OnePlus 9RT (review) and even the recently announced Mi 11T Pro (review). However, full merit must be given to the Reno7 Pro’s thin and light design language which remains unmatched in the segment. If you’re not a serious gamer, but appreciate the good camera performance and supreme in-hand feel offered by the Reno7 Pro 5G, you should definitely take a closer look.

Oppo Reno 7 Pro Review
Source: OI Spice Tech News English
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro smartphone undoubtedly has the decent performance support you can get from the Mediatek chipset, and the overall experience with the hardware and software has been good so far. But, things get a little messy with battery life as you won’t have wireless charging support even in a high price range. The camera and screen section is standard, but there’s nothing special that makes this phone stand out from the rest of the competition. If you’re looking for more valuable options, you can check out the Realme GT Neo 2T for a budget price. In contrast, it can also depend on the user’s perception of whether or not you like the phone. So please check the details of this phone carefully. But if we have to recommend the Oppo Reno 7 Pro to you, we recommend this phone just for its exceptional performance, power, and screen.

The Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G is a true flagship phone that launched in November 2021, and the expected price is $587 (Rs 44,499 in India) approx. As usual, the phone is boosted with astounding features. For starters, the phone offers a 6.55 inches AMOLED panel that renders a 90Hz refresh rate and also offers HDR10+ support. Alongside this, the brightness nits also good, and you will receive Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Oppo Reno 7 Pro League of Legends Special Edition Review
Source: Igeekphone English
Also, OPPO Reno 7 Pro did not use the same curved screen design but played with a slightly beveled right-angle frame. Without cutting hands, the screen-to-body ratio of the mobile phone is still 92.8%. Looking around the current mobile phone market, there is only OPPO Reno 7 Pro that can achieve such a high screen-to-body ratio and consider the mobile phone’s details. OPPO has always been good at mobile imaging. In rear-facing shooting, OPPO Reno 7 Pro Xingyu Wish Edition shows us what the same CMOS is. I just performed better than you. At this point, other manufacturers should be good at it. Reflect on it. The 7.45mm thickness battery capacity can reach 4500mAh, and it can be used continuously for a whole day; it also supports 65W super flash charging. This kind of performance makes people unable to find the shortcomings of this phone. If you also like face-to-face screen design, and you happen to be a deep game user, then why not choose OPPO Reno 7 Pro?
