Oppo Reno16 Pro launches with one 200 MP and three 50 MP cameras

The Oppo Reno16 Pro was officially unveiled in China today. The premium mid-range smartphone has a slightly modernized design, whereby the IP69K-certified and therefore waterproof body with a height of 7.7 millimetres and a weight of 205 grams is not particularly thick or heavy despite the 7,000 mAh battery.
The battery can be charged either via USB-C with up to 80 watts or wirelessly with 50 watts. The most significant upgrade is the processor, as Oppo is replacing the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 of the previous model with a Dimensity 9500s, which should bring the Reno16 Pro close to flagship performance. Oppo has installed a 200 megapixel f/1.8 main camera, which is accompanied by three 50 MP cameras, namely a 50 MP f/2.0 ultra-wide-angle camera, a 50 MP f/2.8 telephoto camera with 3.3x optical zoom and a 50 MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
The rest of the features are also impressive, as the Oppo Reno16 Pro offers a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a frame rate of 120 Hz, a peak HDR brightness of 3,600 nits and a PWM frequency of 2,160 Hz to prevent visible flickering. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the display. There is a programmable action button on the left-hand side. The smartphone supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and a dual SIM.
