OnePlus X drops the invite system

OnePlus X premium smartphone now available without invite
OnePlus X
Less than two months after doing the same for the OnePlus 2 flagship, this Chinese phone maker ditches the invite system for its cheaper sibling.

In addition to providing a lot in terms of specs and features for a competitive price, OnePlus is also notorious for selling its devices via an invite system. The main cause for this is that demand for their handsets always exceeded their manufacturing capabilities, but their latest smartphone got out of this stage faster than its two predecessors.

According to a post published yesterday on the company's official forums, "as of today the OnePlus X is completely invite-free." Next to the OnePlus X, those interested can purchase cases and covers for 20% off. Unfortunately, the Power Bank will stay at $14.99 USD for just one more week, and after that its price will jump to $19.00 USD, "due to increased costs in both the manufacturing and operations."

Orders over $100 USD get free standard shipping, but those looking to get power banks for the entire family can only order four units, which will be shipped in two individual packages (due to shipping regulations).
