OnePlus announced a few weeks ago that its upcoming One smartphone will launch with the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor inside. Now it seems the handset will ship with the same Snapdragon 801 chip as Samsung's Galaxy S5 flagship, since OnePlus has updated the official specs sheet shown on its Google+ page.
If OnePlus One comes out with the current specs and for the right price, Samsung Galaxy S5 may soon end up facing another tough competitor. The 6-piece 13 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and Sony Exmor sensor and the generous 3,100 mAh battery are two strong points of the OnePlus handset, as well as the StyleSwap replaceable back covers. Unfortunately, the battery is not replaceable.
In addition to the features mentioned so far, the One will have stereo speakers and "always listening" voice control. The two variants announced will have 16 GB or 64 GB of storage and both will be loaded with CyanogenMod. More info on the handset and its release date should arrive soon, so stay tuned.
