In general, we don’t recommend readers go with a 5G phone that comes under the $150 price tag, since you are losing a lot for just that tag. Hopefully, that’s not the case for the OnePlus Nord N20 SE because it offers 4G connectivity with a comparatively good set of specs and features to give interested users a balanced smartphone choice. You should purchase this phone if you are not planning to move to 5G connectivity anytime soon. Besides this, there are several other options that appear in the same price range, and if you are looking for an alternative option, then you can check out the Vivo iQOO Z6 Lite smartphone, which comes with a better display and octa-core processing speed. The final decision is in your hand to choose as per your budget and requirement.

The reality, however, is that there are much better products at similar prices out there with superior specs in almost all aspects. So, do share this review with your friends and family to prevent them from making a big mistake buying this phone! OnePlus Nord N20 SE is an awful value-for-money phone. This rebranded OPPO device disappoints in every aspect other than its design and battery endurance. And those two things aren't exclusive to the Nord N20 SE either.

The latest to join the OnePlus line-up is none other than the OnePlus Nord N20 SE. In terms of its design, this model has a very modern approach with a matte finish and the camera modules complement the overall aesthetics as well. Simply put, anyone who tends to see this phone will definitely be in awe of the OnePlus Nord N20 SE. While the front of the phone is made of glass, the back comes in plastic. The phone comes in two colour options which includes the Celestial Black, and Blue Oasis.
As for its display, the phone has been incorporated with a 6.56 inches IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution. The large display-size allows details like letters to look bigger. This definitely improves the overall user experience while using the smartphone. In addition, the device has been paired with a 60Hz refresh rate. This is definitely a drawback since there are alternate options in the market with similar price range, offering a smooth 90Hz refresh rate, AMOLED screen, and a Full HD resolution. Furthermore, the Nord N20 SE does not have Gorilla glass protection.
As far as its performance is concerned, this device is powered by a 12nm MediaTek MT6765G Helio G35 processor while the GPU is PowerVR GE8320. Along with this, there is also Android 12 accompanied by the OxygenOS 12.1. The device is paired with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage while a card slot is also available. Overall, the performance is quite sluggish with demanding tasks and games such as PUBG. Therefore, it might not be a great option for gamers out there.
In terms of its camera, the OnePlus Nord N20 SE features a dual rear camera setup which includes a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. There is also an 8MP selfie camera on the front. Even with a 50MP main lens, the images are not something to be proud of due to its poor image processing capabilities. Similarly, even selfies and videography-wise are not that impressive. Phones like Redmi Note 11, Galaxy F23, or Realme 9 tends to offer much better camera at similar price range as the Nord N20 SE.
As for its battery, the device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 33W charging. This has to be one of the plus point of the device so far. Even with such a low-powered processor and HD+ screen, one can expect a very good battery life from this phone though as the company claims that the smartphone will be able to charge to 50 percent battery in only about 35 minutes which is definitely impressive. In a nutshell, this is definitely a great phone with some drawbacks, depending on the need and preference of the user.
