One-NetBook reveals the price of its new OneXGPU 2
The OneXGPU 2 made its official debut as the first eGPU with the new Radeon RX 7800M. Interestingly, this external GPU was announced before AMD made the 7800M official, and One-NetBook has now revealed the price of the unit. It will cost $839 during the first 96 hours after landing on Indiegogo.
After the first 96 hours, the price of the eGPU will jump to $899, which is $200 higher than the first OneXGPU (available on Amazon). As for performance, One-Netbook recently shared that the new external GPU has what it takes to outperform the Nvidia RTX 4070 Laptop GPU.
To compare, the first-gen OneXGPU with AMD Radeon 7600M aimed to deliver better performance than the desktop RTX 3060. Like the first eGPU from the company, the new model also has OCuLink and USB 4. The former is important because it can offer up to 64 Gbps of bandwidth, while the latter maxes out at 40 Gbps.
Another notable aspect of the OneXGPU 2 is that it can also act as a storage expansion solution. The external GPU can hold up to a 4 TB SSD, and it has a MicroSD 4.0 slot. Besides the OCuLink and USB4 ports, this new eGPU has the following:
- 2x DisplayPort
- 1x RJ45 Ethernet
- 2x USB Type-A
- 1x HDMI
One-Netbook is expected to make the OneXGPU 2 available on Indiegogo starting September 26, and bundle options will be available, combining the AMD OneXPlayer X1 in a single package. These bundles start at $1,908, but during the first 96 hours, the bundle price will start at $1,838.
