The North Edge Cross Fit2 is an IP67 certified smartwatch, and one that retails for US$69.60. IP67 is not waterproof enough to take the Cross Fit2 with you while swimming, but strong water jets should not cause it any problems. The Cross Fit2 is available in three colours, although all have the same specifications.
At the heart of North Edge's smartwatch lies a MediaTek MTK2503 SoC, along with 32 MB of RAM and 128 MB of internal storage. Additionally, North Edge has included a 1.3-inch IPS display that operates at 240 x 240 pixels, a GPS module and a heart rate monitor. It is unclear what style of heart rate monitor North Edge has included, though, or an accurate one.
Apparently, the Cross Fit2 should last up to five days on its 320 mAh battery, but we imagine that this drops to under 24 hours if you leave GPS switched on. According to North Edge, the Cross Fit2 supports Android and iOS devices via Bluetooth 4.0. Accordingly, the smartwatch can read incoming smartphone notifications, while its built-in microphone and speaker allows you to accept phone calls, too.
The Cross Fit2 currently sells on AliExpress and ships from one of its Chinese warehouses. Overall, there are few smartwatches at this price that come with a barometer and an electronic compass. However, you will probably incur custom charges and duties if you plan to import it from China, making its US$69.60 list price less appealing.
