A trio of Nokia devices are due to hit the shelves later this year, with HMD Global expanding its smartphone portfolio to the Nokia 6.3, Nokia 7.3 and Nokia 9.3 PureView. Past rumours have suggested that HMD Global would be unveiling the three devices sometime in Q3 2020. However, Nokiapoweruser (NPU) now states that the COVID19 pandemic has put paid to the idea of HMD Global hosting a launch event next quarter. According to its sources:
...while development work for the new Nokia smartphones is on track the COVID19 situation may force the launch to early Q4 2020. The launch timings still depend on the ongoing COVID19 pandemic and how quickly it can be controlled worldwide.
So, we may see new Nokia smartphones in October. However, HMD Global may postpone any launch event it has planned until November or December if the current conditions of the pandemic persist.
According to previous rumours, the Nokia 6.3 may feature a Snapdragon 730 SoC and four rear-facing cameras. Additionally, there may be two versions of the Nokia 7.3, including a 5G model. Finally, the Nokia 9.3 PureView will be only the flagship of the three. According to NPU, the Nokia 9.3 PureView will feature a Snapdragon 865 SoC and "exclusive ZEISS effects". The device will support 8K video capture and may have a 108 MP primary camera sensor, too.
