Nikon Z70 camera said to launch soon, capture 120 photos per second with 41 MP sensor

According to the latest information from Nikon Rumors, Nikon could soon fill a major gap in the Z system, as the company is reportedly set to unveil the Nikon Z70 within the next two weeks, a professional mirrorless camera that combines a 41-megapixel APS-C sensor with particularly high speed.
Despite its smaller sensor, this Nikon Z70 is expected to cost about as much as the Nikon Z6 III, around $2,000, but will reportedly offer higher photo and video resolution as well as very high speed. Thanks to the Nikon Expeed 7 processor, the Nikon Z70 is said to be able to capture up to 120 photos per second with continuous autofocus. Videos can reportedly be recorded in 8K resolution at 60 frames per second, with support for ProRes RAW and selected RED features also expected. A dedicated video button is said to turn the Nikon Z70 into a video camera at the touch of a button, without having to navigate menus.
Nikon is reportedly using the same viewfinder as in the Nikon Z6 III, namely a viewfinder based on a 0.5-inch OLED panel with 5.76 million dots and 0.8x magnification. The Nikon Z70 is expected to occupy a similar position in the market to the older Nikon D500 DSLR, targeting enthusiasts and semi-professional users who need a particularly powerful camera for sporting events or wildlife photography but do not want to accept the price and heavy weight of a Nikon Z9.
