A product listing for the Xiaomi Smart Tower Fan 2 has appeared on the brand’s global website, suggesting it could soon roll out to countries worldwide. The lower energy model is already on sale in China and is described as mimicking a natural breeze. Plus, it supports Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

The Xiaomi Smart Tower Fan 2 has appeared on the brand’s global website. The company describes its new smart home product as delivering a natural breeze across a 150° angle.

The Smart Tower Fan 2 has a ventilation range of 10 m (~32.8 ft), delivering gentle wind from the 0.6 m (~2.0 ft) outlet. According to Xiaomi, interruptions in the airflow help the wind mimic nature across four modes such as Lakeside breeze and Orchard breeze. One upgrade over its predecessor is a higher peak speed of 494 m³/h (~17,445 ft³/h), a 30% increase. The fan’s settings, such as speed, breeze mode and sleep mode, can be adjusted remotely via the Xiaomi app. Thanks to a Bluetooth Mesh Gateway, you could link the fan to a smart temperature and humidity monitor, setting the fan to intelligently adjust according to the climate.

The smart home device also supports integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home. The compact model measures 290 x 290 x 1,014 mm (~11.4 x 11.4 x 39.9 inches), making it easier to store when not in use, and the company estimates that the 1.5W power device would only use 1kWh of electricity over 90 days of use. It remains to be seen when the Xiaomi Smart Tower Fan 2 will launch, in which global countries and at what prices. The device is already on sale in China, retailing for 349 yuan (~$49).
