The Toyota bZ3C will launch in China early in 2025, according to recent rumors. The electric vehicle debuted at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition earlier this year alongside the bZ3X. The company said that it had designed the model with Gen Z drivers in mind.
Now, a report from Chinese media outlet Autohome News suggests that a source at FAW Toyota has confirmed the upcoming launch. It has been suggested that there will be at least two versions of the EV, offering up to 550 km (~342 miles) and 630 km (~391 miles) range. Plus, it is said to use the BYD Blade battery and a 200 kW peak power motor. The new Toyota EV will be a medium-sized five-door SUV with a 2,880mm (~inches) wheelbase and up to 463L of trunk space.
At the exhibition earlier in the year, Toyota confirmed that the bZ3C would have advanced driver assistance technology with Level 2 autonomous driving features. It has been suggested that the model will also support facial recognition, gesture controls, voice commands and an AI assistant. It is unclear how much the Toyota bZ3C electric SUV will cost at launch in China. Whether or when international versions of the EV could be released also remains unclear.
