Three new Onimusha-inspired mechanical watches are coming to Japan in late November 2026. Created by GARRACK in collaboration with Capcom, the collection features Japanese automatic movements and handcrafted dials incorporating traditional mother-of-pearl inlay and Kanazawa foil.

Japanese watch brand GARRACK has announced three mechanical watches inspired by Capcom's Onimusha game series. The collection pays tribute to Samanosuke Akechi, Jubei Yagyu and Musashi Miyamoto, combining character-inspired designs with traditional Japanese decorative techniques.

According to an official announcement published on 22 October, the watches are scheduled to launch in Japan in late November 2026. However, the company has yet to reveal their prices, exact release date or detailed specifications.

Three Onimusha characters inspire Japanese-made automatic watches

The new collection comprises three models, each drawing inspiration from a different protagonist in Capcom's long-running action series.

The characters are Samanosuke Akechi, Jubei Yagyu and Musashi Miyamoto, who have appeared across different entries in the franchise.

Rather than relying solely on printed character artwork, GARRACK has incorporated traditional Japanese craftsmanship into the dials.

One technique is raden, a decorative process using iridescent mother-of-pearl inlay. The other is Kanazawa foil, a traditional decorative material associated with Japanese gold-leaf craftsmanship.

These materials are used to express the designs of the individual characters, giving the watches a more elaborate appearance than a conventional printed gaming collaboration.

Japanese automatic movements and hand-finished construction

All three watches use Japanese-made automatic mechanical movements and are assembled in Japan, according to GARRACK's announcement.

The company also states that artisans finish each watch individually by hand.

GARRACK has not yet identified the movement manufacturer or calibre.

The official promotional artwork shows an intricate dial with a visible section of the mechanical movement. However, the company has not yet published a complete technical specification for each model.

Case dimensions, materials, water resistance, power reserve and individual model references remain unconfirmed.

The collection was also presented on a special stage at Tokyo Game Show 2026, before the manufacturer's October announcement.

November launch planned, but pricing remains unknown

GARRACK plans to release all three Onimusha watches in late November 2026.

Further details, including exact launch dates and product specifications, are expected through the brand's official website and social media channels.

There is currently no confirmed price, production limit or international release information. The manufacturer has not described the three watches as limited editions.

The collaboration arrives as Capcom continues developing the Onimusha franchise, which first debuted in 2001. According to the manufacturer's announcement, the series had surpassed 10 million cumulative sales as of 7 September 2026.

The collection combines traditional Japanese dial decoration with locally assembled automatic mechanical watches, going beyond character-inspired artwork alone.
