Anthbot has introduced the new M5 Pro and M9 Pro robotic lawn mowers, which feature the HoloSense navigation system. By combining LiDAR, RTK/NetRTK positioning, and AI vision, the company promises highly accurate positioning and reliable navigation even in challenging garden environments.

Anthbot has unveiled its new HoloSense navigation system at Spoga+Gafa 2026 in Cologne, which will be used in the new M5 Pro and M9 Pro robotic lawn mowers. The system combines three established technologies to deliver highly precise navigation in the garden. Anthbot claims positioning accuracy of up to 1 cm, which would be an excellent result. This is achieved through the combination of 360° LiDAR, RTK/NetRTK positioning, and AI vision.

All three technologies are already familiar from numerous robotic lawn mowers produced by various manufacturers. RTK and camera systems, as well as LiDAR and camera systems, are commonly combined. However, it is unusual for a robotic mower to use both RTK/NetRTK and LiDAR simultaneously. Thanks to this three-technology approach, the new M9 Pro series continuously captures geometric, visual, and GPS data and cross-validates this information in every scenario. This is intended to provide reliable navigation both on large, open lawns and on complex properties with numerous trees and other obstacles.

Anthbot has not yet disclosed additional specifications in its press release. However, it is likely that the new Pro versions are otherwise technically identical to the existing Anthbot M5—already available in a LiDAR-equipped version without RTK—and the Anthbot M9, which was first unveiled at CES 2026 earlier this year. Accordingly, the M5 Pro is expected to be designed for lawns of up to approximately 500 square meters, while the M9 Pro should be capable of maintaining areas of up to 1,000 square meters.

We recently reviewed the Anthbot M9, which left a positive overall impression. Currently, the Anthbot M5 and M9 are available during Amazon’s Prime Day sale. It remains unclear when the M5 Pro and M9 Pro, featuring additional LiDAR functionality, will officially go on sale and what their final retail prices will be. The Anthbot M9 Pro is already listed on Amazon at €1,699. However, according to our information, this is not the final price, which is expected to be significantly lower.
