A Redditor recently shared — then deleted — a post with a picture of the Google Pixel 4a 5G and the Google Pixel 5, along with battery details. The Pixel 5 is visibly smaller than the Pixel 4a 5G and features a matte black plastic finish. Meanwhile, the Pixel 4a 5G sports a white back and is slightly larger.
In the post, since deleted, the Redditor shared detailed specs for both devices. Luckily, 9to5Google managed to grab these before the post went down.
Apparently both the Google Pixel 4a 5G and Google Pixel 5 will feature Qualcomm’s midrange Snapdragon 765G processor. The smaller, but more premium Pixel 5 will sport 8GB of RAM, a 60Hz or 90Hz display and will lack an audio jack.
The Pixel 4a 5G, on the other hand, will feature a 60Hz panel, will include a 3.5mm jack, and 6GB of RAM. Both phones appear to have an identical camera configuration, with a 12.2 MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.
The leak also addresses concerns about short battery life on the upcoming Pixel smartphones. The Pixel 4a 5G will feature a 3800 mAh battery, while the Pixel 5 will sport a 4000 mAh battery. We expect both devices to deliver all-day battery life.
We will likely get more (official) details about the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 soon. But for the time being, this leak provides us with our closest look yet at these two upcoming devices.
