Google will be unveiling the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 next week, but that has not stopped two retailers from listing the two devices early. The retailers are ComputerUniverse and More Computers, which are based in Germany and the UK, respectively. The listings do not contain any pictures of the Pixel 4a (5G) or Pixel 5, but they do reveal several aspects of the two devices.
Firstly, Google will sell both with only 128 GB of storage, as it does with the Pixel 4a. The Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 will come in black too, aping the Pixel 4a. However, Google will also sell the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 in white and green respectively, as Jon Prosser claimed previously.
According to ComputerUniverse, Google will price the Pixel 5 at €629, which would be a severe undercut from the price of the Pixel 4 series. Similarly, More Computers prices the device at £615. However, we suspect that the latter pricing may not be correct. Google has already effectively confirmed that the Pixel 4a (5G) would cost £499, but More Computers prices it at £513.32 including VAT. Hence, the Pixel 5 may cost closer to £599 in the UK, which would still be £70 cheaper than Google sells the 128 GB version of the Pixel 4 for on its website.
Additionally, the two retailers have confirmed that the four SKUs will be assigned the following model numbers:
- Pixel 4a (5G) - 128 GB - White (GA01946)
- Pixel 4a (5G) - 128 GB - Black (GA01311)
- Pixel 5 - 128 GB - Green (GA01986)
- Pixel 5 - 128 GB - Black (GA01316)
