Google is planning to unveil the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 next month, according to Jon Prosser. The leaker and YouTuber, whose stock increased because of accurate leaks concerning the release of the iPhone SE, claims that the two devices will be with us on September 30. This is not the first time that leaks about the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 have been presented.
According to past leaks, the Pixel 5 will be the bigger of the two devices with a 6.67-inch screen. By contrast, the Pixel 4a (5G) will have a sub-6-inch display that may even be the same size as the one in the Pixel 4a. The Pixel 5 will be the only one of Google's smartphones to sport a high-refresh-rate screen this year, though. Apparently, Google is moving onto 120 Hz, which is a moderate increase over the 90 Hz panels that it used on the Pixel 4 series.
Prosser adds that the Pixel 4a (5G) will arrive in black, which is unsurprising considering the colour of the Pixel 4a. However, he also claims that a white version will arrive in October, a prototype of which may have been unearthed earlier this year.
Additionally, Prosser states that we should expect a "black and green" version of the Pixel 5. He has not elaborated on this, but it does not seem far-fetched to suggest that the Pixel 5 will have a green back panel. Alternatively, the Pixel 5 could have a green power button, but that seems rather inconsequential for Prosser to have mentioned.
