The brand-new Netgear Nighthawk 5G M7 is designed to be both versatile and powerful. The US company combines a 5G modem with a WiFi 7 chipset with speeds of up to 3.6 Gbps. The mobile hotspot can connect to as many as 32 devices at the same time.
According to Netgear, the Nighthawk 5G M7 supports 5G networks in more than 140 countries and can be used with a nano SIM or eSIM. The accompanying smartphone app is available for Apple iPhone and Android phones and features an eSIM marketplace that is intended to make it easy to choose the right plan for an upcoming trip. The app also shows remaining data and the battery level of the mobile 5G hotspot.
According to Netgear, the Nighthawk 5G M7 has a battery life of up to ten hours, and its 3,850mAh battery can be recharged via USB-C. Compared to the more expensive M7 Pro, the M7 has a much smaller 2.4-inch display that shows connection status, data usage and battery level. With dimensions of about 5.7 x 3.3 x 0.67 inches and a weight of roughly 8.5 oz, the 5G hotspot is slightly larger than a typical smartphone. If needed, two Ethernet ports can be added via an adapter that’s sold separately.
Price and availability
The Netgear Nighthawk 5G M7 (MH7150) is expected to launch in January 2026 for $499. This makes the new model cheaper than the older Nighthawk M7 Pro, which currently costs around $699 on Amazon.
