Minisforum MS-A2 receives new discount to $559 with high-end AMD Ryzen APU

Minisforum has quietly dropped the price of its MS-A2 mini-PC. Launched last April, the MS-A2 was initially available with up to 64 GB of RAM. Then in August, Minisforum updated the device with more versatile memory options from factory.
Six months later and the MS-A2 finds itself with discounted barebones units. Previously, the MS-A2 was available for as low as $639 with AMD's Ryzen 9 7945HX processor, as well as 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Now, the mini-PC's price has dropped to $559, albeit while removing any included memory whatsoever.
By contrast, the MS-A2 can be configured with the Ryzen 9 9955HX as a barebones unit for $799 down from $999. These prices are reflected across Minisforum's website and on Amazon too, with the MS-A2 currently starting at $599 across both platforms.
Unfortunately, the prices of pre-configured units have risen dramatically since last year. As it stands, Minisforum offers the Ryzen 9 7945HX, 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage for $919. Meanwhile, the Ryzen 9 9955HX runs to $1,199 with the same memory configuration. Please see Minisforum's website and our MS-A2 review for more details.
