More mini PCs were introduced at IFA 2025 than one might care to count. Minisforum, one of the most well-regarded brands in this segment, clearly had no intention of sitting on the sidelines, and has announced a bunch of premium high-end mini PCs as well. Among them is the new AtomMan G7 Pro gaming mini PC, which pairs an older Intel Raptor Lake-HX CPU with a modern RTX 5070 Laptop GPU.
The G7 Pro sits as an alternative to the G1 Pro mini PC, which we have already covered. Unlike the G7, the G1 Pro is powered by an AMD chip, the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX "Dragon Range-Refresh" CPU with 16 cores and 32 threads. Both the Intel and AMD CPU options are monstrously powerful units, although the Intel variant with the 24-core Core i9-14900HX CPU does have a slight disadvantage in certain workloads, contingent on the systems being cooled appropriately. At any rate, almost any CPU-intensive workload can easily be handled by either of the mini PCs.
In terms of GPUs, the AtomMan G7 Pro and G1 Pro mini PCs are also quite differently equipped. While the G1 Pro opts for a desktop-class RTX 50 GPU, Minisforum chose to grant the G7 Pro mini PC with a more economical, but less powerful RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. The exact SKU the G1 Pro arrives with will determine which of the two systems packs more GPU grunt, but that remains to be seen. The I/O is as follows:
- Multiple USB ports in Type-A and Type-C flavors, including USB4
- Ethernet port
- HDMI 2.1
- SD card slot
- Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4
Dual SODIMM slots and dual M.2 2280 slots will take care of memory and storage requirements. The sleek enclosure of the G7 Pro mini PC does scream gamer vibes, but not in an offensive manner. The cooling capabilities of the SFF system are unclear as of this writing, but there is no denying it will play a crucial role in such an intensely specced system.
Pricing and availability details are not known, but can be expected in the near future. Considering the specifications on offer, the G7 Pro mini PC is unlikely to be cheap. With that in mind, folks with more modest performance requirements can always opt for more affordable systems, such as the Minisforum UM880 Plus (currently $519 on Amazon) with decent specs and plenty of ports.
