The Erazer series of the German firm Medion offers the performance users need for entertainment or occasional gaming, thanks to its new high-performance laptops. Compared to the previous generation, the components and the design of the casing have been revamped. This Medion Erazer P6705 (MD61205) opts for the Intel Core i5-8300H, a processor that is part of the mid-high range of Intel's Coffee Lake (TDP of 45 W). This processor has 4 cores, 8 logical threads (HyperThreading), 8 MB of cache and achieves a maximum frequency that will oscillate between 2.3 GHz and 3.9 GHz in four cores and 4.0 GHz in one, thanks to Intel Turbo Boost technology. Its gross power is 5-10% higher than that of the Intel Core i7-7700HQ of the previous generation, so a user can use it to work with high demanding applications, even video editing or 3D rendering. This notebook mounts the Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory, the most powerful graphics recently in a laptop of this price. It is part of the current high-end of Nvidia and will allow us to play many current games in 1080p with high or ultra details. The storage is provided by an M.2 SSD with 128 GB, which will bring fluidity to the system, and an HDD with 1 TB to 5400, which will allow us to store large files. A user will also have 8 GB of DDR4 RAM in a single module. For the screen, the company has chosen a TN panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a matte finish. To get the video signal, users will have two Mini DisplayPort outputs and one HDMI 1.4, so they could easily hook up more than one monitor.
The appearance of the laptop benefits from an elegant and robust construction, defined by a black metallic aluminium chassis and smooth finish, with the Erazer logo screen-printed on the deck. It has a dimension of 37.8 x 26.7 centimetres, a profile of 27 millimetres and net weight of 2.7 kg. Not a lightweight build, but that is not expected from a high-performing laptop like this. As for battery life, despite its high hardware configuration, the 6-cell lithium battery integrated into this notebook guarantees a duration of just over 6 continuous hours of light use, i.e. office automation and casual web browsing. The connectivity of the Medion P6705 is summarized in the incorporation of a USB-2.0 input, another two USB-3.1 ports and a reversible USB Type-C port, as well as HDMI video output and Mini DisplayPort (x2), a multi-format SD slot, an audio combo connector, and a webcam with a digital microphone. In conclusion, the Medion Erazer P6705-MD61206 is a bargain for those who are looking for a complete gaming notebook at a budget. This laptop has plenty of power to perform basic computer tasks (office automation, web browsing, multimedia viewing, etc.), but also enough capacity to perform more intensive tasks such as gaming and photo retouching.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mobile: Mainstream graphics card based on Nvidia's Pascal architecture and successor to the GeForce GTX 965M. Is manufactured in a 14nm process at Samsung and the technical specifications are very similar to the desktop version.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

i5-8300H: On Coffee Lake architecture based processor for big and heavy laptops. Integrates four processor cores clocked at 2.3 - 4 GHz (3.9 GHz with 4 cores) that support HyperThreading. 15.60":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.2.7 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
Medion: Medion AG is a German consumer electronics company. It operates in Europe, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region. The main products are computers, TVs, refrigerators, toasters, and fitness equipment. The manufacturer of laptops Medion mainly is active in the German market, but to smaller extent also in Western Europe. Market shares and amount of reviews are low. Above all, supermarkets like Aldi sell their laptops. In 2011, Medion has been acquired by the laptop manufacturer Lenovo.
96%: This model is obviously considered exceptional by the testers. There are almost no laptops that are rated this well. If the reviews or the sources that give these ratings are to be taken seriously, then it is a very clear buy recommendation. Unfortunately, sometimes top scores are also squandered.
