Marathon has surpassed 1.2 million copies sold, generating over $55 million in revenue

According to a new report from Alinea Analytics, Marathon has sold over 1.2 million copies across all platforms. A big portion of these sales comes from Steam, which alone accounts for around 800,000 copies, or just under 70% of the total player base.
The rest of the sales are split between consoles. PlayStation 5 accounts for about 217,000 copies, which is roughly 19%, while Xbox platforms (including console, PC, and cloud) make up around 133,000 copies, or a little over 11%. This is interesting because Marathon is technically a first-party PlayStation title. Despite that, the majority of players are on PC. In terms of revenue, the game has already generated over $55 million across all platforms.
The game also had a solid start in terms of player activity. On launch day, Marathon reached around 88,000 concurrent players on Steam, which is a strong number for a new release. It also currently holds a Very Positive rating with over 23,000 reviews on the platform. However, the player count has been slowly dropping, and it is currently sitting at around 50,000 concurrent players.
