Deal | MacBook Pro 13 with Apple M2 SoC and 512GB SSD drops to its lowest price ever on Amazon
Significant discounts on current Apple products are a somewhat rare occasion, but every now and then, retailers like Amazon have a notable deal for one of the many popular devices that hail from Cupertino, California. In addition to a still-available and quite enticing deal for the current MacBook Pro 14 with the fast M1 Pro chip, a decent configuration of the more affordable MacBook Pro 13 M2 has now also gone on sale.
To be more precise, Amazon has now discounted the 2022 MacBook Pro 13 with the aforementioned Apple M2 processor and 8GB of soldered LPDDR5 memory by US$200, which brings the price of the 13-inch laptop with the iconic design down to US$1,299. This deal applies for both the silver and Space Gray color variant. This version further comes with the slightly larger 512GB NVMe SSD, which is soldered onto the motherboard and therefore not user-replaceable or upgradable. According to the price tracker at Camelcamelcamel, this deal matches Amazon's lowest price ever for this particular configuration of the MacBook Pro 13 M2.
We thoroughly tested the Apple MacBook Pro 13 M2 earlier this year and also published a comprehensive video review on our revitalized YouTube channel. In our corresponding written review, we for example praised the efficient and powerful Apple M2 SoC which is responsible for the very high system performance. The laptop also sports a very good display, good speakers and long battery life of up to ten hours in our WiFi websurfing test. Furthermore, the cooling system of the MacBook Pro M2 remains silent during regular usage. In conclusion, we found that this machine is still a very good subnotebook with a great user experience. For some prospective buyers, this deal might be a decent alternative to the comparable MacBook Air M2 configuration, which is currently being sold for US$1,399 and also sports the rather controversial display notch.
