Reviews for the MSI WS72 6QJ
Source: Computer Shopper Archive.org version
Judging from the machines that have crossed our test bench in the last couple of months, competition in the mobile workstation space is heating up. The WS72 brings some of MSI's traditional strengths—aggressive pricing, stylish design, garish keyboard lighting—to the category, while being more portable than most of its 17.3-inch cousins.

NVIDIA Quadro M2000M: Mainstream workstation graphics card based on the GM107 Maxwell architecture with 640 shaders and a 128-bit wide memory bus. The GPU is similar to the consumer GTX 960M/950M.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

E3-1505M v5: Skylake-based quad-core processor for workstation notebooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics P530 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
17.30": This display size is a standard format for desktop replacements (DTR). The DTR laptops are heavier to carry, need more power, but texts are easy to read and high resolutions are no problem. DTR are mainly intended for stationary desk use, where weight and energy hunger don't matter. In return, you enjoy the advantages of high resolutions (more details, better legibility).» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
2.6 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
MSI: Micro-Star International (MSI) was founded in 1986 in Taiwan. MSI is especially known as a manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards for PCs, but also offers computer accessories, complete systems, motherboards, graphics cards, laptops, desktop PCs, monitors and other components. However, the Microstar brand name in Germany belongs to the Medion company. MSI is known for its gaming products and has developed a wide range of gaming laptops and desktop PCs. The company is also active in workstations, servers and industrial automation. MSI has offices in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
70%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
